5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal bit of kit. Light but stable
Absolute game changer! Fabulous bit of kit. Light, so easy to manoeuvre. Can sling it in the car at a moments notice. Very nonslip, and my dog feels good on it. Great for all heights of car. Stops me having to lift my dog, which was absolutely why I bought it after her bladder surgery. Still using it!! Thoroughly recommend.

Very good quality, sturdy and not too heavy

The ramp works. For me just issues to resolve- if weather is bad it’s time consuming and slippy for my dog .to avoid scratching my car I had to put a towel under ramp in boot opening. I then had to figure out how to stow it securely to avoid noise and damage.

5.0 out of 5 stars No problems with this at all
Non slip surface good used treats to get him used to it only fits on boot as door opening too narrow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product
Having carefully read all reviews on similar products we opted for this one on the basis that if it didn’t serve its purpose we hadn’t wasted a vast sum of money. The main criticism in the reviews was that the ramps were slippery and therefore the dog didn’t want to use them but we have found this to be excellent and not at all slippery. The paperwork with the ramp suggested getting the dog used to it by laying it flat on the ground and getting the dog to use it this way first. This has worked well for us and our dog is no happy to go up into the car, the problem is getting her down again which we are still practising! The other consideration when buying a ramp should be the length, some are short which creates a much greater angle from car to the ground. Our experience has shown that a longer more gentle approach works better if the dog is reluctant to use a ramp.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
Ramp pretty good, lightweight, and dog walks up ok no slipping. One draw back, it could of had a grab handle on side wall so it would of been easy to man-handle. But the price is good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised
Sturdy, strong, straight forward, no mucking around ramp for my dog in and out of car. It’s easy to fold and unfold. On the downside, it is just ever so slightly cumbersome re weight but it’s not a deal breaker kind of weight and looking around at others its about the same weight. To also note, that it doesn’t have enough grip on for my dog so I’ve glued on some non slip gripper material, the sort you get from a camping shop and now it works like a dream (see picture). In all in, this is a great product, value for money, simple to use and with the addition of my gripper works brilliantly well. It’s not got 5 stars because I had to adapt it slightly. All in all, I recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can’t teach an old dog new tricks!
The ramp came in good time way before the expected date. The non slip walkway topping was coming away from the frame, but could have easily been rectified. However, my 13 year old dog refused to use it, he hated it and would not set a paw on it. I am now returning the item, and I shall have to think of something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy dog, happy owner
This arrived super quickly and I am really pleased with it, and so is my dog! Before I bought it I read quite a lot of reviews and accosted a random man in a car park who I saw with one so thought I would write what I wanted to know in a review.

    Car height
    • I have a ridiculously high car (Lexus RX300h in case this is helpful information…) and just recently my dog has been less than keen to get in (she is only 4 and healthy, I think it’s just slightly too much effort so she wants to be certain I really mean it before getting in!). We haven’t had issues getting out, but this did make me think about how high I am asking her to jump down from and the impact this could be having on her joints so thought a ramp would be a good idea.

    Ramp angle
    • The ramp is pretty steep on my car as my car is high, but not unreasonably so. If your car is as high as mine and your dog struggles perhaps a harness to half lift them might work (depending on the dog obviously). This would be less of a problem on lower cars.

    Ramp surface
    • The surface seems pretty grippy and on our test this evening my dog didn’t slip at all. Less confident dogs may benefit from rubber/carpet tiles as other have mentioned though, and we haven’t tried it in the wet yet.

    Ramp on car
    • The rubber feet sit OK on my car and it didn’t move about at all on our test which is something I was slightly concerned about.

    Size
    • It is quite big, although I knew that from the product description, my car as well as being ridiculously high is also ridiculously big so storing it in the car is not a problem, but this may be an issue if you have a smaller car/children to also fit in. Not an issue for me, but perhaps something others might want to bear in mind.

    Dog size
    • 20kg (ish) border collie, ramp didn’t bend at all

    Dog using the ramp
    • My dog does agility so is used to dog walks and A frames so I wasn’t expecting much of an issue with using it. Mildly apprehensive 1st go up, no issues coming down and then whizzing up it even when I didn’t ask her to. There were gravy bones involved both up and down, that definitely helped, although there are always gravy bones getting in the car and she hasn’t been this keen on getting in the car in ages! Happy dog, happy owner 🙂

5.0 out of 5 stars Thinking ahead
I want to protect my puppy, so I got the ramp. Excellent product, very easy to use and after a few times of encouragement my 5 month old retriever walks in and out of the car safely and confidently. I could not lift him in and out as he’s too heavy for me. Brilliant investment. Great product.
