Customer service is crap. By with hope for it to last
Delivered with damaged cover. Seller is blaming me and not taking responsibility. Alternatives aren’t that expensive – it’s just anoying.
The tub is comfortable and provides comparable experience to more expensive plastic and wooden cousins. I play basketball and had enough space there for me and 2 other teammates to sit comfortably.
There are downsides however. After just 1 weekend yellow couloring has appeared in some areas – I couldn’t get it out. Also redish colour appeared at the top end which propobly came from the tubs colour. Also couldn’t get it out.
It’s a decent purchase for those who want a tub, but aren’t sure on how often they would use it. As long as the reviews are right and it lasts 2 years.

Great Spa!
Ok…….as with all inflatable spas you will get mixed reviews. My experience……it’s a big box and the components are heavy, 2 people required to lift into place. Once in place this thing is very easy to setup with one person. The inflation function makes short work of getting everything setup. It’s robust, you can sit on the edges. Once up, fill with water and then let it heat. I let the tub go up to 37 degrees celsius which I did in about 8hrs and then decided to give it a test. Turned it on…..airjets lovely, then hydrojets on and BOOM you’ve got a proper hot tub. Couldn’t test the lights as I think they need to charge up via the water flow and I tested during the day. So….after an hour and a half use the water temperature dropped to 34 degrees celsius from 37 degrees celsius. You can’t run the heat and the hydrojets at the same time, but this is normal for a plug and play hot tub. If you want to do both then spend £5k and wire in a 32 amp hot tub. However you can heat with the hydrojets off and the airjets on and it is lovely. so…. £1.3k vs £5k……no brainer!!!!!!!!! Costs….get your timings right, heat during the day when the sun is up and it is the same as running a small oil heater. It cost me £4 to get it up to temperature. Lost 3 degrees celsius during the night. I’m sure winter will be more of a challenge but shield the tub with a pergola and keep the wind off and I would expect a small rise in costs but manageable. Quick tip: Buy the headrests and the drink holders and relaaaxxxxx.

High end very large and amazing
This is the high end of lazy spa and fits 5/6 comfortably adults. Would fit easy 7/8 kids. This was easy to assemble and has been maintained now for over a month well. It’s now going for a lot more on lazy spa site so get it while it’s cheaper.

Great easy to set up Spa for 2-4 adults with great features such as hydro jets!
I was surprised how easy it was to unpack and inflate. It’s a good size but I do not think it could comfortably have 7 people in it possibly 4 adults. Cannot fault it at all but would recommend you buy the Clearwater starter kit and look to social media such as Facebook where there are Lay Z Spa groups who are very helpful. The maintenance of the spa – filter and chemicals seemed daunting but I have soon got the hang of it. The LED lights took a while to work out how to install as you have to remove 2 of the jets and replace with the LED versions. Also recommend a skimmer and aqua vacuum and little sponges to draw any oils.

Limited lifespan
This is my third Maldives Spa in 4 years. I do like the product but sadly it has a very limited lifespan. The heat pump doesn’t last very long and it is not a serviceable item. Another common issue is for the liner to develop a leal over time. I had one replaced under warrantee and exactly the same happened to the replacement item. This item however is not covered by the standard warrantee. I have had to purchase a new Spa including pump. The price had gone up from £899 to £1399! I will not be buying another Spa after this one. The new Spa arrived with a defective pump. I am now having to struggle to get this replaced.

The closest inflatable hot-tub you’ll get to a solid spa.
Very happy with the Maldives Spa. Build quality is excellent. Packaged very well. Heavy, but easy to set up following the instructions. Inflated fully and after filling and heating, became very solid. As an owner of an Coyote Spa some years ago, I am impressed and think that this model is the closest we are likely to get to a solid spa with inbuild seats. Temperature takes approx. 2 days to get back up to 40 degrees in the Winter. Lid has needed inflating a couple of times but the tub remains solid after 4 months. Very happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong
I’ve had various lay z spa hot tubs now for about 6 years. I was quite excited to try the new range of hydrojet with the proper massage jets, and I’ve not been disappointed.
Setup was a breeze, and using a hose connected to my hot tap it was ready to roll in a couple of hours.
It is pure bliss, especially with snow on the ground around you, and a coffee and book in hand. Perfect winter afternoon treat and saves a fortune on spa days.
I’ve bought the medium size clever spa thermal cover, which makes a difference to heat loss and would recommend.
WiFi setup was quick and easy. It will be dead useful as with the old model I was often forgetting to set the timer before work. Now I can just log on remotely and set it heating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice tub
We have had a few lazy spas but this has to be the best yet, plenty of room and easily fits in our hot tub room. The spa is constantly circulating the water with its jets and is fitted with 3 filters keeping the water immaculate. Very pleased with this one

1.0 out of 5 stars Faulty product and Customer Service appalling
Bought this spa. Arrived with 2 holes in the base. When asked for a exchange ( even though there were 3 in stock) they made me take a refund and if I wanted, to reorder another one. This was because I got the original on offer at £300 less than it now costs. Surely if there is a fault they should replace at the same cost. Absolute disgrace. Customer service awful.

2.0 out of 5 stars **Lay-Z-Spa Maldives Hot Tub Review**
After spending over £800 for what is touted as the top of the range Maldives hot tub, my expectations were high. However, I was deeply disappointed when my tub arrived with a puncture. One would hope for a straightforward exchange or repair process given the significant investment, but the process is far from it.
Although Amazon has kindly offered a refund, they couldn’t provide an exchange. On the other hand, Lay-Z-Spa’s warranty solution feels more like a task than a service. They require me to first decommission the tub by cutting out the serial number from the liner, sending photo proof to them, and then expect me to dispose of the entire tub. This is not only hugely incovinient and difficult to do, but environmentally wasteful as well.
In an age where customer service is paramount, such a complicated and inefficient solution from Lay-Z-Spa is unacceptable. For a product of this price point, customers deserve better.
